Meet Rose.

Rose has always been fascinated by people and their surroundings. At a young age, she enjoyed reading through her family’s subscription to National Geographic, which provided her with a sense of the amazing diversity in how people live in this world. This fascination remained with Rose in college where she earned a degree in Anthropology and Art History.

After graduation she worked at the Smithsonian Institution for many years, helping create exhibitions that highlighted the wonderful diversity of people. During her time at the Smithsonian, she worked closely with exhibition designers, fabricators, and graphic designers. She soon caught the design “bug” and decided to go back to school to get a master’s degree in interior design from the Corcoran College of Art and Design.

After her graduation in 2012, she began working in commercial architecture firms, contributing to projects including hotels, local restaurants, corporate offices, and retail spaces. Craving a more personal connection to interiors and clients, she left the commercial design field to open a residential design firm, Primrose Interior Design, in 2016. Since then, Rose has been working with people to oversee projects, both large and small, to craft interiors that are reflective of the people that inhabit them.

Working with individuals on the design journey is a great honor and pleasure for Rose. She has found her path and hopes to be helping people create customized interiors for many years to come.

Rose also loves:

  • visiting craft fairs and second hand shops

  • checking out local restaurants and experimenting with new recipes

  • being outdoors by hiking with her family and trail running
